Sommer Sharp

Sommer Sharp began serving at the University of Florida at Gainesville in November 1992 and currently holds the position of Infrastructure Manager for the College of Veterinary Medicine. Sharp was instrumental in setting up and maintaining the college's storage area network (SAN) using LSI¹s StoreAge SVM and a mix of iSCSI and fibre connections for the storage and server access. Prior to her current role, Sharp was the Information Systems Manager for United Fuels Corporation where she was responsible for the purchase and maintenance of computer equipment and communication lines. She has more than 19 years of experience in technology operations across complex organizations.

Sharp received a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1987. She maintains a career-long commitment to fostering development and advancement in information technology.
