Steven Lang is an Editorial Director at the Ziff-Davis Custom Solutions Group specializing in business and IT management issues. He oversees AMD's Accelerate Magazine. Prior to this assignment, Lang was managing editor of CMP's VARBusiness and editor of its GovernmentVAR magazine. At VarBusiness, he edited the publication's annual VARBusiness 500 issue, its highly-regarded and anticipated list of the top 500 solutions providers in North America, as well as its annual State of the Market issue. As editor of GovernmentVAR, he oversaw the direction, assigning and editing of the new magazine.

Lang has launched and developed a number of magazines, newsletters and conferences for major publishers during his 25 years in publishing. This is his second stint at Ziff Davis, where, as Editor and General Manager, he developed and launched PC Magazine's The IT Insider Series, a subscription service for IT executives that provided newsletters, conferences and gated web sites.

Previously, he has worked at Institutional Investor as an Editor-In-Chief, where he created and managed Financial Technology Magazine. Lang has also worked at CMP's Business Technology Group as an Editor-in-Chief and Executive Editor, and as a Managing Editor for McGraw-Hill, where he created and managed newsletters. In addition, he has written numerous articles for People, where he worked as a senior writer, as well as other major publications, including TV Guide, A & E Biography and Cosmopolitan.
