Jennifer Thomack
Technology Trainer III
Flagstar Bank

Jennifer Thomack is currently a Technical Trainer III for Flagstar Bank's Information Technology Team. She graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan with Bachelors in Communications with Specialization in Interpersonal Communication and Gender Relations in 1997.

Jennifer came to Flagstar in 2001 with a background in Executive Human Resource Management and Technical and Executive Recruitment. She made her start with Flagstar in Human Resources as a National Recruiter to help build a presence for Flagstar on College Campuses and to initiate and grow the online recruiting effort. In 2002, Jennifer moved to the Information Technology Team as a Technical Trainer with concentration in Home Lending Origination systems and MicroSoft products.

In 2004, Jennifer was asked to be the WebEx Administrator. At this time, WebEx technology had been in use at Flagstar for a bit over a year.

Since then, her focus has been to take the eLearning training initiatives across the company to areas outside of Mortgage Lending. Jennifer, along with her team, helped to grow the need for online live training and meeting collaboration since 2004. In 2005, Flagstar went to a Named Host model and grew the WebEx "portfolio" after identifying business needs for other WebEx products. In the last 4 years, Jennifer as been integral to building the WebEx host base from less than 100 hosts to 400 ACTIVE hosts. As a result, live sessions have increased from monthly totals under 100 to monthly totals in excess of 300+ live sessions per month.

Another focus for Jennifer has been to build the infrastructure for Computer Based Training goals over the past 4 years including standardizing self-paced training sessions. She has helped spearhead the growth and importance of on demand sessions from approximately 50 sessions to over 200+ sessions today. Once classified as a "nice to have", today, online training has become a necessity in Flagstar's business. This culture change is in part due to Jennifer's sense of ownership and dedication.
