AJAY GOEL | Senior Vice President - Industry Business, Strategy, Operations

Ajay is Senior Vice President for the Industry Business, Strategy and Operations verticals for Cisco India and SAARC.

He now heads Cisco's Industry Business Council, heading a team of thought leaders in six specialized areas. He also heads Strategy and Operations for the Indian & SAARC regions. Ajay represents the Cisco India Sales team at the Globalization Council, and drives efforts toward tighter engagement with specific initiatives.

He brings with him over twenty five years of industry experience in the area of Information Technology and Electronic Engineering. In his previous role as VP-IT Services, he was responsible for driving the IT Services vertical's business, GTM and sales strategies in this region.

Prior to joining Cisco, Ajay was Country Director - India Business Operations at Sun Microsystems, where he was responsible for Business Operations and managed Sales across verticals. Ajay had the honor to represent as a Special Director to the world wide Sun Microsystems Inc. Foundation Board for year 2006-2007. Prior to Sun, he had long stints with Tata's (strategic alliance with GE and Westinghouse) and Asea Brown Boveri.

Ajay is a 1982, Graduate Engineer by training in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and an alumnus of the Stanford Business School.
