Stephanie Cockerl
Stephanie M. Cockerl is the founder and principal of nextSTEPH. Founded in March
1997, nextSTEPH specializes in defining and implementing website goals by web
site analysis, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM),
web site design, web site development, and e-mail marketing.
nextSTEPH has won numerous web design awards including being a finalist in the
Company Website category in the Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs in 2004,
and receiving the Bronze Award for Designing a non-profit website from Portfolios.com,
also in 2004.
Ms. Cockerl has been featured as MediaBistro's AvantGuild Member of the Week in
2006. In 2002, she was also featured in McGraw Hill's PageOut™; Business
Owner's Idea Café and on Who's Who on the Web. In 2001 she was featured
in Netscape Small Business as Netscape Small Business of the Week. In 2000, Ms.
Cockerl was also featured as "Webgrrl of the Week" on Webgrrls.com;
in Silicon Salley Magazine; and as a "Featured Technodiva" on iVillage.com.
She is also one of the 171 faces in the book, Futurize Your Enterprise: Business
Strategy in the Age of the E-Customer, by David Siegel in 1999.
She has also been a judge for the Stevie Awards for Women Enterpreneurs in 2005
and a contributing author for "GET MORE BUSINESS - The Women's eMarketing
Guide to Promote Your Products and Services on the Internet" released in
2006.
Ms. Cockerl received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Media Management
from Metropolitan College of New York, formerly Audrey Cohen College in 2001 and
a Bachelor of Architecture Degree (B. Arch) from Cornell University in 1996.
